16 Years Ago: Lauryn Hill Wins 5 Grammys

Lauryn Hill! I first noticed Lauryn Hill in the TV soap opera “As The World Turns” in 1991 and in the movie “Sister ACT 2 Back in the Habit” starring Whoopi Goldberg. Believe or not I had no idea she was a member of the Fugees at the time.

I was introduced to Lauryn Hill through ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill!' That is one of the greatest albums ever.

On this date February 24, 1999 Lauryn Hill made history by winning the Grammy for Album of the Year and four other Grammy’s giving her a total of 5 the most ever by a woman.
