Dennis Edwards (of the Temptations) was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1943.

Edwards replaced future Four Tops Lead singer Levi Stubbs as member of the Contours and later replaced his friend David Ruffin to become the lead singer of the Temptations from 1968 to 1976, 1980 to 1984 and 1987 to 1989.

As a soloist, he is known for his 1984 hit "Don't Look Any Further."

Edwards is now the lead singer of The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards.
