Fox And Lee Daniels Sued By The Real Life Cookie Lyon

Is it real or is it Memorex?  Sophia Eggleston from Detroit claims the she is the real-life Cookie Lyon and has filed a $300 million lawsuit against Fox and Lee Daniels, claiming they stole her life story for their hit show “Empire”.

In the suit Sophia Eggleton says she was a drug kingpin who served jail time for manslaughter for placing a hit on a man, claims she wrote her life story into a memoir about her “early drug lifestyle” titled “The Hidden Hand.”

She also claims in 2011, she met with screenwriter Rita Miller and gave her a copy of her book. She also claims that Miller her several months later saying she going to pitch her story to Daniels. You can read this rest of the story here.
