If you ever want to have an adult night out but have trouble finding a sitter, you should definitely consider Tuscaloosa Tumbling Tides's "Freaky Friday."

One Friday night each quarter,  Tuscaloosa Tumbling Tides opens their doors for enrolled gymnasts and anyone who wants to attend. From 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., children ages 5 and up enjoy open gym play and pizza!  They're able to sharpen their gymnastics skills or just have plain fun.

Upon arrival, parents sign in their children and pay the $20 fee. Then, the children enter the gym. Parents may either sit upstairs and observe (which is where I am now), or they may leave their children as long as they need, as long as they're picked up by 10 p.m.

Freaky Friday is almost like a playground. Children openly play with others they may not have known beforehand, and there are numerous coaches on hand to watch out for the children as well as assist them when needed.

It sure would be nice if they could do this on the night of a concert or something! Maybe I'll put a bug in their ears.
