Global Goals Project Reaches UA and Tuscaloosa

Global Goals has reached us, here at the University of Alabama, and the Tuscaloosa area! An international project designed ot make our world better in many ways.

The idea of Global Goals sparked from idea from U.K. filmaker Richard Curtis to move the needle. The project's website is asking world leaders to commit to 17 objectives to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years.

What kind of things? A variety of issues to be addressed from combating extreme poverty, inequality and injustice to climate change.

Locally, ONE at the University of Alabama is partnering with Project Everyone. ONE is a nonprofit, international advocacy and campaigning organization fighting extreme poverty and preventable disease.

On September 25th 2015, 193 world leaders will commit to 17 Global Goals to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years.
