Kids Are Afraid Of The Easter Bunny – When Will We Learn

Why do we embarrass our kids at Easter? I remember wearing these big old white rabbit ears running around in a circle trying to sing this silly song and hearing the audience laugh at us. I was so embarrassed. Now I know you can relate to what I’m saying here. I’m talking about those silly Easter plays we put our kids in with no role other than to stand on the stage in a ridiculous costume and look silly. Our parents made us do it, we made our kids do it, and our kids will make their kids do it. Why do we pass this unnecessary embarrassment down from generation to generation? Another question I have is why we scare the crap out of kids by making them take pictures with the Easter Bunny. If that’s not child abuse what is?  See for yourself.
