Make Someone’s Holiday Happy

Somehow, Tuscaloosa is notorious for drawing in students who get an education but never leave. Then, there are some residents that come here for work or various other reasons. Many of these people can't be with their families for the holidays. So, what do the lonely do at Christmas?

They spend it with friends.

They work.

They volunteer.

They sleep.

They clean.

They do many things to keep themselves occupied. Most of us will have to go to the store for last-minute items or grab a quick meal while completing certain tasks. While doing so, remember that the person serving you either has a family they had to leave to work OR they have no family and would rather work than be alone. Try to understand if they seem to be down or upset, and do what you can to spread a little holiday cheer.
