After attempting a long jump and kicking a fan during his Billboard Music Awards performance of 'Adorn' last night (May 19), Miguel attempted to do some good considering the situation.

While performing his hit song, the 'Kaleidoscope Dream' creator jumped from one side of the stage to the other, all while a crowd of people were in a pit underneath him. He miscalculated the jump and landed on two fans. The fiasco was all caught on camera and one woman appeared to be more injured than the other, falling to the ground.

But in reality, things weren't so bad. Miguel and one of the injured women, Khyati, were introduced and spoke with Billboard following the incident. She had an ice pack in hand but had nothing but praise for the crooner, who looked visibly embarrassed by his actions.

"Well, I think it's kind of clear what happened," Miguel said. "But I'm very happy to bring my new friend, Khyati, we just met. Unfortunately we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we're okay."

When asked what she thought of him, Khyati took the moment to use the perfect pun.

"I adorn him," she said.

Miguel admitted that his performance was "one of the less favorable moments." "The crazy thing is, when you're performing and you're just kind of into it, you never know where it's gonna go and where you're gonna go with it, and how that might turn out," he said.

He's aware he got caught up in the moment, but pleased that nothing more serious occurred. "Thank goodness Khyati is okay," Miguel stated.
