Over the holiday weekend, I went to see the movie Fences. Before going, I had heard the play was amazing, and in college I was suppose to read the book by August Wilson. Of course, I skipped out on reading it and 'Spark Note' it out. But after seeing the movie, I did myself a disservice.

Fences, was an incredible movie, with an unbelievable cast. Every new project Viola Davis' does, she outperforms herself. Denzel Washington was the main character, Troy, and he also directed the film.

Fences is an American story. It gives you all the emotions of what it is to be a family and the plight of Black men and women, and also relationships between father and son.

I won't spoil the movie, but it's a must see. Bring a Kleenex and a person you love to go see it with, it's worth every penny.
