My name is not Susan. Anybody remember that song by Whitney Houston? (Watch the video below.)  You know, I'm a pretty positive person for the most part. But every now and then, I have to vent just like everyone else. Today, is one of those days.

My complaint is a common one. My name is Jade. Plain and simple. One syllable. Consonant, long vowel, consonant, silent "E."

Jade. I say it on the air, every hour a few times per hour. Been doing the same thing for 10 years. On social media, I go by my name.... JADE. WHY, Lord, will people comment and even send me messages, addressing me as "Jada?"

Who is that? For those who claim autocorrect changes it *lies*, what about those who speak it? "You know what, Jada...." Nope. I don't know because I tuned you out as soon as I heard that extra "a." Petty? Maybe. But if my parents wanted me to be called Jada, I'm sure they would have named me Jada.

I know I'm not the only one who has this issue. If people flub up your name-- and yes, I chose to use "flub" instead of what I really wanted to say (a decent vocabulary comes in handy) --share the name you're called instead of your actual name in the comments section.
