I was honored again this year to be the emcee of the 3rd Annual Small Business Empowerment Conference & Awards Luncheon at McInstry Banquet Hall. This years theme was 'TABCC answering the question: What's in it for me'.

I was thoroughly entertained and challenged by this years speakers which included,Dr. Patricia Sue Parker, Professor Emeritus at the University of Alabama, Keisha Ellison of Townsquare Media, Stacia Robinson Agency Principal of The BeneChoice Companies,LLC, and the keynote speaker Jerry Mitchell of the Alabama State Black Chamber of Commerce.

There were workshops and presentations geared to helping businesses with education, advertising & marketing, and business networking.

To top it all off the host and sponsor Patricia A. Cade president of the TABCC, personally catered the lunch of BBQ ribs, pulled pork, grilled chicken with potato salad, BBQ beans, salad, and cake for desert with great iced tea and water.

It was an experience that will leave an indelible mark on me in respect to black businesses.
