Oakdale Elementary Announces “Operation Registration”

Oakdale Elementary School is planning a public service event called "Operation Registration" to encourage parents in the West Tuscaloosa area to be proactive as it relates to their children's education and to register them "now, rather than later," for school.

Many times, some parents wait until the first day of school to register their children; however, this practice leads to students being unprepared for "Day One" of school (e.g., knowing who their new teacher will be, what school supplies are needed, what school bus they'll ride, whether they need money for school lunch or qualify for free/reduced meals) etc.

"Operation Registration" will be held in the Hay Court Housing Project on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. Call (205) 242-2976 for more information.
