In today’s social climate, one can never have too much knowledge.  After all, what you do or don’t know could be the difference between life and death. If you've ever been concerned about the right and wrong things to do when having an encounter law enforcement, be sure to set an alarm so you don't miss this information session.

An event with Officer Tarell Norfleet has been planned to assist in educating citizens on the proper way to handle a traffic stop in addition to dispersing information on citizens’ rights.  This session will take place at LA’s Barbershop (936 25th Ave East; Tuscaloosa, AL 35404) on Wednesday, July 1 at 7:00 p.m.

The session is open to the public.

In a day and time where we are more likely to interact with law enforcement, and "ignorance of the law is no excuse," it is imperative for our children to be aware of what actions should and shouldn't be taken to make sure they make it home safely as well.  So, be sure to bring your children with you.

It is a sad reality that such an event is even necessary, but that is even more of a reason to attend.  If you’re licensed to carry but need more information on the laws regarding such, this is the perfect opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge on the proper way to disclose this information to an officer who is responding to a call or who is facilitating a traffic stop.

Because safety is the primary focus, of course physical health must be taken into consideration.  So, attendees will be required to wear a face covering; and hand sanitizer will be provided.
