Former Alabama defensive end Jonathan Allen will miss the final 11 games of his rookie season after suffering a foot injury.

ESPN reported Wednesday that the Washington Redskins' first round draft pick suffered a Lisfranc injury during Sunday's win over the 49ers. The initial indication was that Allen would only miss a handful of games, but further evaluation found the more severe injury to his foot.

On the season, Allen had recorded 10 tackles and one sack through the first five games and had received a lot of praise from coaches on his fundamentals and understanding of the game.

The Redskins are 3-2 on the season and sitting in second place in the NFC East behind the Philadelphia Eagles.
