One of the South’s oldest rivalries takes place this week in Tuscaloosa, and even though the stakes haven’t been particularly high over the past 5 years, but the hate in the ‘Third Saturday in October’ never takes a year off.

At some point this week, Alabama fans painted the University of Tennessee’s rock with ‘Roll Tide Roll’ and along with a couple side messages. The photo was shared on Twitter Wednesday morning and many Volunteers were upset about their coveted rock.

If you aren’t familiar with the tradition that is a rock in Knoxville, it was unearthed in the 1960s and serves as an open forum for students. It’s more recently become a place for Tennessee fans to loate Lane Kiffin.
