The Tuscaloosa City School system is giving both parents and students a chance to learn about the already in place policy of School drug and alcohol screenings. The policy has been around since last year but this is the first full year it will be in effect. Basically the policy says that any student involved in extra-cirricular activities associated with the school or drives to school will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing throughout the school year.

According to myfoxal.com there will be a series of meetings for parents and students to learn about the policy.

The first meeting is Thursday, August 20 at Central High School, then August 25 at Bryant High and August 27 at Northridge High.

All meetings are from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and are open to the public. Full Story
