Should Television Announcers Use the Name ‘Redskins’ On-Air [POLL]

CBS lead analyst Phil Simms, who will call Washington’s Week 4 game and NBC’s Tony Dungy both say they likely won’t use the term “Redskins” when talking about the franchise.

The debate keeps going on whether the Washington Redskins name and mascot are considered a derogatory or racist slur that offends Native Americans.

In an email to AP, Dungy said,

I will personally try not to use Redskins and refer to them as Washington. Personal opinion for me, not the network.

As a life-long Redskins fan I want to see how my neighbors in Alabama feel about it. Please take a minute to answer the poll and feel free to leave a comment below.
