A few weeks ago, I made a joke on air about how it doesn't rain in Tuscaloosa. I was being funny at the time, but after further research, the state of Alabama is experiencing a drought. Apparently, droughts are a common theme, but they haven't seen a drought this bad in almost 50 years.

It's so bad, that hay isn't being produced quick enough that some farmers are starting to sell their cattle.Thankfully, some farmers may be able to apply for assistance from the government after losing so much money.

Not only is it effecting Alabama, but parts of Georgia and Florida.

The water levels are so low, that a lot of creeks and rivers are beginning to dry out.

After checking weather charts, it looks like there is a probability of rain to come on Tuesday evening, at least for Tuscaloosa.

We are definitely praying for those suffering in this drought.
