Let’s just say you’re a college student who has to sit out for a year for one reason or another. Or maybe you’re a dependent graduate who’d like a job in service before fully heading into the work force.  If you fit this description, this may be of interest to you!

Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is looking for individuals who want to serve the community full time. The difference between this and community service is that those working are paid a stipend. In addition, other VISTA benefits are simply amazing with education awards, insurance, student loan deferment, child care, and much more!

This sounds like a wonderful opportunity and would look great on a resume’!  Be sure to pass along this information, emphasizing the importance of following directions. No matter what you’ve been taught about obtaining an occupation, if the hiring party says not to call, do not call to “check on” your application! You’re welcome.
