Be Safe while Holiday Shopping

As we roll into the first week of December and everyone doing shopping on line and in the stores. I just want to remind everyone, that there are also the other shoppers. The ones that are shopping to rip you off on line, in stores and robbery.

There  things you need to be aware of that will keep you safe, things that are simple as having packages delivered to your door. Or paying attention when you are walking from the mall to your car in the parking lot.

Or things like it's good to pay for goods with a Credit Card versus a debit Card. I learned a valuable lesson one day because I paid for something overseas once on a debit, it's a hell trying to get my money back, I did eventually but if I had paid for it with a Credit ca

When you’re shopping or walking in public:

• Carry a cell phone
• Alert family/friends to your travel plans and when you may be home
• Have an escort, if possible
• Avoid carrying large sums of money
• Report suspicious people or activity to police
• Walk in well-lit, populated areas; avoid cut-through paths
• Avoid walking near hedges or bushes.
• Before leaving a bus/rail station, observe others
