How to Spend a Date Night in Tuscaloosa

On more than one occasion, I've heard the city of Tuscaloosa called "a date killer" by those who contend there's nothing to do outside of going out to eat or catching a movie.

While I can understand that point of view, I have to disagree.  Of course, right now one of the greatest dates you can take is a walk through Malice in Otherworld.  It almost guarantees a close embrace, even if it is brought on by fear.

One of my other favorite local places is All Fired Up.  At All Fired Up, you paint pottery and ceramics, which are then placed in a hot oven for finishing.  (You come back to pick it up about a week after painting.)  The store is fairly quiet and peaceful, which gives you the opportunity to talk... And flirt a bit with your eyes and smiles.

Another place that is often forgotten is Bama Mini Golf.  It's your average 18-hole mini golf course that's fun for the entire family (if you have to make it a family outing), a double date, or just the two of you.

Then, there are Leland Lanes and AMF Bama Lanes. Bowling is ALWAYS a fun date!

There are numerous events always going on in the city that can be fun nights out, but these are permanent fixtures that can be enjoyed pretty much all year (other than when it gets too cold outside for mini golf).  But if you're looking for something to do that's a bit out of the ordinary, check this out!
