Horsing Around All Weekend

Following the rodeo Saturday night, my daughter and nieces wanted to ride a horse. So, my sister-in-law contacted someone she knows who owns one and made arrangements for us to visit a farm Sunday afternoon.

Upon arrival, Kerstin Hetzler introduced us to Ozzie!

He is recovering from a medical issue.  So, we were unable to ride, but we did get a chance to meet him and other horses.

One of the most gentle creatures is Prince.

Kerstin said Prince is 35 years old, which is very uncommon for horses.  Prince hung out with us for quite some time.

Oddly my child, who was the main one super excited about riding a horse AGAIN, was extremely afraid of all of the horses.  Although she'd been on the back of one before, I guess literally being face-to-face with one was too much.

My nieces, however, had absolutely no fear.  They even fed the horses.

I can definitely see one of them becoming a veterinarian in the future.
