"Hey, babe, did you call to schedule your prostate exam?"

"I sure did."

"Good. You might want to ask about getting that birth control shot while you're there."

That's right, ladies! No more being the only ones to gain weight, face the possibility of future pregnancy complications, or go through any of the other issues associated with birth control. Scientists are working on a birth control shot for men!

According to CNN, the shots are successful in preventing pregnancy, too! However, they won't be available to the open market until scientists figure out how to prevent some of the side effects associated with the shots such as depression, pain at the injection site, and acne.

Funny, aren't those some of the same side effects women experience? Yet shots, pills, and patches are practically forced upon us. Oh well. Men, guess you've gotta keep us happy, caress our injection sites, and like our makeup. As of now, it's mostly up to us to prevent new offspring (other than mutual condom use and vasectomies); but in a few years, the roles could reverse.
