A new bill introduced in the Alabama House and Senate if passed would allow persons under the age of 18 to possess handguns with parental approval. Let me get this right, anyone under the age of 18 will be allowed to have a handgun with parental approval. That just doesn't sound right, if a person has to wait till they turn 21 to have a drink why can't they wait to have a handgun.

There have been far too many stories in the news of people especially kids getting killed by handguns for no good reason and now you want to let minors have them legally?

Isn't it enough that we have to worry about our children when they aren't around us, but now any of them could have a handgun to boot?
