Replaced My Fill Valve Myself
This morning, I woke up (again) to the sound of my toilet hissing. I'd heard it before, did a little research, and disassembled the fill valve. That fixed the problem for a while, but I just couldn't take it anymore today.
I attempted to clean the piece once again this morning. Not only did it not stop hissing, but I also broke the valve. So, off to Home Depot we went.
There, I picked up the valve and also left my contact information to set up appointments to get estimates on replacing my windows as well as organizing my closets.
I then let Jireh take a picture at the board they had outside the store.
When we returned home, it took me less than 30 minutes to replace the valve, prep time included.
Not only will the $8 I spent save me in my monthly water bill, but it'll also save my sanity not hearing that doggone toilet running.
