Rifles Discovered at Arcadia Elementary

According to Tuscaloosa City Schools, just before 2pm today, a custodian at Arcadia Elementary discovered a case containing two rusted rifles on the property line of the school.  However, the condition of the rifles made it highly unlikely that they were operable.

Tuscaloosa Police secured and retrieved the firearms, which they believe to have been stolen from a nearby location.

At no time were the students or staff of Arcadia Elementary School in danger, district procedures were followed in this event, and parents have been notified.
