What happened? How can we prevent these things from happening? We can’t continue to wake up each day wondering if it’s safe to go to the mall, the movies, or school. Everyone I have talked with since the shooting in Newtown, CT. has asked questions that we will never have the answers too. Including why did he do it? Sad as it is there is nothing we can do to prevent these things from happening. I’m sure I’ll get a lot of criticism for what I’m about to say. Things we can’t predict are going to happen. This is a promise I made to myself. I’m going to make every moment I have with a love one count. I’m letting everyone I can know how much they mean to me today. I’m going to get that extra hug, take an extra minute to talk. Life is precious and I’m treating it that way.
