A significant severe weather event will affect our listening area early Saturday and through the morning hours, and then a second round of severe weather is expected Saturday night through Sunday morning.

The forecast graphic above from the National Weather Service in Birmingham details the initial severe weather threat, which is expected to impact Alabama between 3 a.m. and noon tomorrow. We're at risk for tornadoes, damaging winds of up to 70 m.p.h. and golf ball size hail.

Round two begins Saturday evening and continues through Sunday morning. The greatest threat is for areas around Auburn; however, we're still at risk for severe storms.
