Food Stamps Cut

It's April and thousands of Alabamians will have their food stamps benefits cut off.

Some recipients of the SNAP program will now be required to work if they want to keep their benefits. The change comes after the expiration of a federal waiver that allowed Alabama and some other states to grant exemptions to work requirements for a segment of SNAP recipients.
