The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Hard Freeze Warning in advance of an approaching cold front expected to bring wind chills in the single digits to Tuscaloosa.

A line of storms is in the forecast for today, and with those storms comes the possibility of  heavy rainfall.

Cold weather is here, and the National Weather Service wants you to be prepared for the chilly temperatures. A Freeze Warning is in effect from 9 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 to 9 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2014.

We're keeping a close eye on the developing hazardous weather around Tuscaloosa, Northport and all of West Alabama this Monday evening.

A line of severe storms is in the forecast for Alabama tonight, bringing with it the threat of heavy rainfall, hail, isolated tornadoes, and damaging straight-line winds.

Tomorrow's forecast calls for sunny skies and a high of 97 degrees; add that to high humidity levels, and Tuscaloosa could see a heat index of up to 106 degrees in the afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 6 p.m. tonight; most of our listening area also remains under a Flash Flood Watch until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.

More severe weather is possible around Tuscaloosa and West Alabama Monday Night (June 9th).
