A 73-year-old woman is said to have been out for a walk in Cottondale Tuesday afternoon when she was attacked by four dogs. She has been hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, including bites to her heels and leg. Authorities are working to locate the dogs' owner.

Twenty-three-year-old Marcus Steven McCorkle has been arrested on charges of rape and sodomy, stemming from an incident late last month, involving a 13-year-old girl. McCorkle was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $45,000 bond.

Yesterday, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved a bill aimed at allowing people with certain illnesses to possess CBD oil, a marijuana extract, which would give parents and patients a justifiable defense if charged with drug possession because of the oil.
