Yesterday, the University of Alabama resumed normal operations at 1:00pm, and today, Tuscaloosa City and County Schools will operate under normal operations. In addition Tuscaloosa City Hall will resume normal operations as will the Tuscaloosa Parking and Transity Authority. Trash and recycling collections will be delayed one day for the rest of the week.

Sunday morning, 31-year-old Ashley Wade Holcomb was arrested after two victims accused him of following them home from a birthday party and ramming their vehicle several times over several miles in Coker. Holcomb has been charged with attempted murder and remained in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with bond set $120,000.

Forecasters say parts of north Alabama could receive as much as 8 inches of snow on top of 6 inches that already has fallen. Birmingham escaped the first round of frozen precipitation, but forecasters say the metro area could get snow and ice in a second wave of weather.

Governor Bentley has reacted to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who has called for Alabama and 10 other states to do a better job of restoring voting rights to ex-felons. Bentley says he's always believed someone should get their voting rights restored after serving their full sentences.

The Alabama Senate has again passed a bill to ban smoking in many work places and in many businesses, excluding bars and private clubs. it also does not affect smoking in homes, unless the homes provide day care services.

Today, President Obama is expected to sign an executive order raising the minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 an hour for workers on new federal contracts. Officials say the change will affect only a few hundred thousand workers but will also prevent contract workers from being paid less than others if a disability affects their productivity.

Closing arguments are scheduled today in the trial of a Florida man charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a teen following an argument over loud music. Forty-seven-year-old Michael Dunn has pleaded not guilty, saying he acted in self-defense, but no weapons were found in the teen's vehicle.

Khloe Kardashian is said to be possibly dating The Game, after being seen partying and leaving a club with him. Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odum in mid-December.
