Three Teens Charged With Armed Robbery

Three teenagers ages 14,16,18 have been charged with armed robbery of a Shell gas station. According to AL.com, Police said the suspects – one of them brandishing a handgun- took an undisclosed amount of cash for the store register. They fled the scene in either a GMC Sierra or a Chevrolet Silverado with a partial tag of '63BF2.'

'It's troubling to see 14 and 16-year-old teens committing serious felonies such as armed robberies. Even at their age, they have to decide to start doing things that productive and responsible teens do.The path they're headed down could have a terrible ending' said a police spokesman.

My question is,where were the parents when all of this was happening? Were there not ANY people that these kids know to teach them right and wrong? Where is our society going if we have teenagers committing violent crimes? How are we ever going to reduce the jail population if kids are doing dumb things like this? Did they really think they would get away with it? If convicted they will become part of the penal system that has claimed so many of our young black men. My prayers go out for them that they may see a different way....the right way.
