There are very few times where faking one's death is appropriate. However, when your child's grandmother pays someone to have you killed, faking death to get her prosecuted is VERY appropriate.

According to AL.com, 54-year-old Sandra Hill Treadway of Town Creek has been arrested, charged with criminal solicitation after attempting to have her grandson's mother killed. Unfortunately, her would-be hitman was an undercover agagent.

Treadway paid the agent a deposit and was prepared to pay the remainder upon receipt of proof that the woman was dead. So, authorities convinced the woman, who was involved in a custody battle with Treadway's son, to play dead. After producing photos of a "dead" woman Treadway then paid the remainder of the hitman's fee and was arrested.

She is being held with a bond of $35,000. The child at the center of the controversy has been taken into the custody of the Department of Human Resources.
