15-Year-Old Girl in Critical Condition After Shooting in Downtown Tuscaloosa
A 15-year-old girl was flown to Birmingham for treatment after a shooting that occurred early this (Sunday, July 14) morning in downtown Tuscaloosa. The Tuscaloosa News reports the girl was in the 2100 block of University Boulevard when the shooting happened at approximately 2:15 a.m. The 15-year-old was taken to DCH for treatment of injuries and later airlifted to Children's of Birmingham where she remains in critical condition.
Investigators have identified a person or persons of interest in the shooting, and more information is expected to be released later today.
