Last night in an unanimous vote, Tuscaloosa County School Board approved a bond for $85 million. The issued bond will go towards 2 new middle schools, the new Holt High School, and  repairs and maintenance.

One of the middle schools will be put in the Northport area, while another one may be aded to the area of Sipsey Valley. Superintendent Walter Davie, is trying to change the high school/middle school mix.

Adding to the plan, an annex will be built at Tuscaloosa High School for career tech programs. Tuscaloosa County, Northside, and Sipsey Valley high schools will all be able to use it.
