Tuscaloosa Families Invited to Annual Westside Community Fun Day

The Westside Community Fun Day, presented by Mind Changers with support from PARA, the YMCA, Cornerstone Full Gospel Baptist Church, High Life Image, and The Coley Agency, is almost here.

Be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and head to Freeman Park, located at 3001 Dragons Lane, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401. It will be a day of free family fun, so be sure to bring the whole family and enjoy a community celebration filled with activities, fellowship, and plenty of fun for all ages.

"The legacy of Westside Community Fun Day over the last 13 years is simple: consistency builds trust. When families know they can count on a safe, joyful, no-cost day every summer at Freeman Park, it changes how a community sees itself. We’ve watched kids who attended year one come back as volunteers,” said Rodney Pelt Sr., community day organizer. “We’ve seen local partners like PARA and the YMCA step up year after year. That’s the real impact, not just one day of fun, but 13 years of showing Westside that it’s valued, celebrated, and never forgotten."
