A Mississippi elementary school will change its name to honor President Barack Obama!

The decision to rename Davis Elementary School in Jackson, Mississippi, was the result of a months-long effort by parents to rid the school of its Confederate reference in favor of honoring the 44th president of the United States. Janelle Jefferson, president of the school's PTA, said the new name will be more fitting for a school with a student population that is 98 percent black.  The school (Jefferson) Davis Magnet IB name will be changed to Barack Obama Magnet IB

You know, it shouldn't be controversial that a man of President Obama's character, who led one of the most competent administrations in modern history, is more deserving than a man who committed treason in defense of slavery. However, we know it's about to be very controversial.
