46,000 Federal Inmates May Be Eligible For Early Release

According to the U.S. Sentencing Commission more than 46,000 federal inmates will be eligible for early release thanks to a vote last week to apply new, more lenient drug guidelines.

If congress does at to stop the retroactive rules from taking effect judges can begin considering request for sentencing reduction in November.  More details at Al.com.
