One of the coolest things has been seeing the multiple 'Black Lives Matter' murals emerging around the United States.

The first mural I can recall seeing was in Washington D.C. The iconic mural stretches fifty feet and is located on a street leading up to the White House and has since been named "Black Lives Mater Plaza" by D.C. mayor Muriel Bowser. In the weeks following this bold move from Washing D.C, similar murals have been painted on streets across America. I love seeing the support from around the United States. I've searched and found some of the 'Black Lives Matter' murals from across America.

Black Lives Matter Murals

With the major media attention on the killing of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Philando Castile, Eric Garner, Sandra Bland, and many other black people in America, we just want the world to hear us when we say black lives matter. To be clear, these murals do not erase the actions of the past or cover up the current state of black people in America. They are a bold gesture of support in our time of need. In the future, I'd love to see more bold gestures such as hiring more black CEOs and, consultants, board members and really taking the needed steps to combat systemic racism.

This is truly a historic time we're living in. We have the choice to really change the way America treats and looks at black people. I know we can do it, and we're on the right path to making that change a reality.
