A Virginia Man Would Rather Go To Jail Than Change His Tag

This man is serious about his tag. A Virginia man with a specialty tag that has the Confederate flag on it says he would rather go to jail than change it.

Kevin Collier told WVEC “I have a great-great-great grandfather who fought and died with the 5th Georgia Infantry. And his four brothers all died with him in the name of that flag, I will go to jail before I change those tags.”

Virginia requires owners of the plates with the Confederate –flag to get new ones without that symbol.

The DMV sent new plates to 1600 Confederate plate owners but only 187 have returned their old plates.
