Presidential hopeful Hilary Clinton and U.S. Representative Terry Sewell both agree that closing driver license offices will have an effect on poor communities in Alabama.

Hilary Clinton referred to the closing as a “blast from the Jim Crow past”. Terry Sewell said she does play the race card but you have to call a spade a spade.

Alabama has cut 31 satellite offices in 28 counties. Most of these counties are in rural areas, poor and with a high minority population.

If I have said it once and I’ll say it again. All I have seen our legislature do is take jobs, close parks, take money from education and they are closing driver license offices in our community.
