There is good news for the Easter holiday weekend. The Storm Prediction Center has removed the “marginal risk” for severe weather for portions of Alabama from Saturday night into Sunday morning.

With limited instability and weak dynamic support, thunderstorms are not expected to reach severe levels. Still, the Townsquare Media Weather Center will continue to monitor the developing system.

“Widely scattered, random showers/storms are possible tomorrow afternoon, but an organized area of rain and thunderstorms will move through the state tomorrow night and Easter Sunday ahead of a cold front,” said James Spann, Alabama Weather Network and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist.
