If you're looking for a quick bite, you're in the right place.  According to DataFiniti, Alabama has the most fast food restaurants per capita of any state in the nation.  Nebraska, West Virginia, Oklahoma and Tennessee are also in the top 5.  The states with the least number of fast food restaurants per capita are Vermont, New Jersey, New York, Mississippi and Connecticut.

Overall Southern and Midwest states are the place to go if you love fast food.  The Western states have less fast food restaurants, but still way more than the Northeast.

They also found that no matter where you live, there's probably a Subway or a McDonalds.  Those are easily the restaurants with most locations, making up over 25% of the total.  Burger King  was a distant third on the list with Taco Bell and Pizza Hut in the top 5.
