Alabama Moves Up to No. 1 in Latest AP Poll
Alabama's 55-44 win over Auburn was enough to move the Crimson Tide past Florida State in the AP Poll.
Despite having one loss, voters think Alabama should be ranked ahead of the undefeated, defending champions. The Crimson Tide still received four fewer first place votes than the Seminoles. Oregon was the only other team to receive first place votes and sits at third in the poll.
Alabama has now been ranked No. 1 at some point in each of the past seven season, which matches a streak by Miami in the late 80s through the early 90s. Missouri, which won the SEC East, has moved up to No. 14 and will face Alabama in Atlanta on Saturday.
