Alabama senior point guard Jordan Lewis has announced her transfer to the Big 12, she will be enrolling with the Baylor Bears as a graduate transfer. Lewis is No. 5 in career assists for the Crimson Tide with 486 and was named Second Team All-SEC this past season.

Lewis transfers to Kim Mulkey's program after starting her last 130 games for the Crimson Tide, she played a crucial role in Alabama's effort to make it back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1999.

"We're excited to add Jordan Lewis to our Lady Bear family. She brings immediate experience at the guard position along with a relentless desire to win," said Baylor head coach Kim Mulkey. "She is a proven player at a high level, Jordan is a key addition to our returning players and will be exciting to watch next year as we compete for a national championship."

In addition to finishing No. 5 in career assists, Lewis finishes her Alabama career No. 9 in career points with 1,464. She was the 2020 SEC Scholar- Athlete of the Year and was a member of the SEC All Freshman team as well as Conference Newcomer of the Year in 2017.

Baylor went 28-3 last season and won the Big 12 regular season and conference tournament last season. The Bears advanced to the Elite Eight  in the NCAA Tournament before losing to No. 1 seeded Connecticut.

Lewis will use her additional year of eligibility to go for a championship and improve her game in order to show scouts she can play at the next level.
