
Severe Storms Across Alabama Tonight: Tornadoes, Damaging Winds, Large Hail
Alabamians should prepare for a fast-moving weather system that will sweep across the state, bringing the threat of severe weather.
Ahead of the active weather, “Breezy conditions with gusts near 40 mph leading up to and after the showers and thunderstorms,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.

If any weather alerts are issued, James Spann, Alabama Weather Network, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist, encourages you to “treat a severe thunderstorm like a tornado warning.”

The Storm Prediction Center has a risk zone of 3 out of 5 for all the counties in West and Central Alabama.

The entire threat timeframe is between Sunday, March 15, at 9 p.m. and Monday, March 16, at 6 a.m.
