The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Marginal (Level 1 of 5) risk for today, Wednesday, August 19, and Thursday, August 20.

Wednesday Severe Weather Threat
The threat is expected between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., with the main threat being damaging winds with gusts up to 60 mph.
“Heavier storms this afternoon will be capable of producing strong, gusty winds, heavy rain, and lots of lightning,” said James Spann, Alabama Weather Network Chief Meteorologist. “They will fade after sunset.”

Thursday Severe Weather Threat
The threat is expected from the afternoon through the evening, with the main risk being damaging winds with gusts up to 60 mph.
