Alabama vs Texas A&M Could Be Moved Again
The No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide (17-5, 12-1) is scheduled to take on the Texas A&M Aggies (8-7, 2-6) on Thursday Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. CT in the next step of its SEC season. The winter storms that have swept the southern part of the United States have already caused the game to be moved from Wednesday to Thursday.
The Alabama Crimson Tide team has already been delayed on its trip to College Station, Texas and according to Cecil Hurt the game's status will be re-evaluated tomorrow morning.
The Crimson Tide has a three game lead on Arkansas for the SEC regular season championship with five games remaining, including the A&M contest. Alabama is looking to secure its first SEC Regular Season Championship since 2002 and only its third since 1987.
The Tide is carrying some injuries on its roster creating a test as it enters a scheduled span of two games in three days. Jordan Bruner is out with a knee injury, Juwan Gary is out with a shoulder injury and Herb Jones is less than 100% with a back injury. Should the game between the Tide and the Aggies be postponed to a later date it could off Alabama a chance at some much needed rest ahead of the close of the regular season.
The Crimson Tide currently sits projected as a No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament and could use this weekend to serve as a simulation of playing in the tournament if the A&M game can still be held on Thursday.
