Wiggins in two seasons as wide receivers coach has produced a Heisman Trophy winner and Biletnikoff Award winner two All-Americans and four first round draft picks. Wiggins played running back at the University of New Mexico accumulating 1,833 rushing yards.

After his playing days he joining the UNM coaching staff and then became running backs coach at Illinois State from 2006-10. Wiggins then became Tulsa's running back coach for a year before leaving to coach wide receivers at Memphis under standout coach Justin Fuentes. He followed Fuentes to Virginia Tech and where he again coached wide receivers.

With 18 years of coaching under his belt it seems Alabama head coach Nick Saban has deemed him ready for a larger role on the direction of the offense. He will work alongside offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Bill O'Brien in some additional capacity.

Wiggins will once again be coaching a loaded position group as he returns John Metchie and Slade Bolden while also having several ascending weapons. Alabama could see increased roles from Javon Baker, Traeshon Holden and freshman like Agiye Hall and Ja'corey Brooks.
